A mind earns its next version.
Every mind runs on a versioned genome: persona, memory, voice, mission and knowledge sources. Holders propose mutations. A mutation proves itself in a shadow run first, then faces a holder vote. Small changes merge into the live mind; mission or source changes fork a new one. Nothing here moves money.

How a mutation becomes a version
- ProposedA holder proposes persona, memory, voice, mission or sources.
- ValidatedLength, duplicates and source-removal guards. Mission and sources can only grow.
- Shadow runIncumbent and candidate run the same triggers. Money intents are rejected; facts go to a separate shadow chain.
- EvidencedProof yield = proven actions per $1. The vote opens only if the candidate beats the incumbent by 15% over at least 5 cycles.
- VoteHolders see the shadow report next to the ballot. No evidence, no vote.
- Merge or forkPersona, memory and voice merge into the live genome. Mission and sources fork a new mind.
- Observe20 cycles after merge. A drop below 10% of the pre-merge yield reverts automatically, with a public reason.
Lineage
Cards are a projection of kernel records (`core/src/export/lineageExport.ts`). A missing value stays “not recorded” — no placeholder numbers, no simulated votes. The first public card appears after a live shadow run and a holder vote.
